All facts of the 15 times table

Read the table aloud once, then cover the answers and say them from memory.

  • 15 × 1 = 15
  • 15 × 2 = 30
  • 15 × 3 = 45
  • 15 × 4 = 60
  • 15 × 5 = 75
  • 15 × 6 = 90
  • 15 × 7 = 105
  • 15 × 8 = 120
  • 15 × 9 = 135
  • 15 × 10 = 150
  • 15 × 11 = 165
  • 15 × 12 = 180

How to remember it

Times 15 is times 10 plus half of it: 15 × 8 = 80 + 40 = 120.

How to multiply by 15

  • 15 = 10 + 5, and 5 is half of 10. Take 10 × n, then add half of that: 15 × 6 = 60 + 30 = 90.
  • For odd numbers the half ends in 5: 15 × 7 = 70 + 35 = 105.
  • The answers take turns ending in 5 and 0: 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 …
  • Clock link: 15 minutes is a quarter of an hour, so 15 × 4 = 60 minutes.
