Division to 100

Division to 100 helps children practise dividing with quotients and dividends up to 100, connecting each division to the matching multiplication. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.

How to solve this

  • Division within 100 is the reverse of multiplication: 42 ÷ 6 = ? asks "6 times what equals 42?"
  • Think of the matching multiplication fact first, then write the division answer.
  • Check by multiplying: answer × divisor must equal the dividend.
