Math terms helps children practise knowing the names of each part in an addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division — sum, difference, product, quotient. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.
How to solve this
- Key terms: in addition, the parts are addends and the result is the sum; in subtraction, minuend − subtrahend = difference.
- In multiplication, factors × factors = product; in division, dividend ÷ divisor = quotient.
- Check that you can name each number in an equation using the correct term before solving.
