Grade 4 Math

Divisibility

Practise rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10, plus divisors, multiples, and digit sums.

How to solve this

  • For 2, 5, and 10, the last digit is enough: 245 is divisible by 5 because it ends in 5.
  • For 3 and 9, add the digits: 738 has digit sum 18, so it is divisible by both 3 and 9.
  • A divisor divides exactly; a multiple is the result of multiplying. Since 24 = 6 × 4, 6 is a divisor and 24 is a multiple of 6.
