Add hundreds
Add hundreds helps children practise adding full hundreds by working with the hundreds digit only — for example 300 + 400 = 7 hundreds = 700. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.
How to solve this
- Adding hundreds works like adding ones, just with a zero at the end: 300 + 400 = 7 hundreds = 700.
- Focus on the hundreds digits only, then attach "00" to the result.
- Check that the ones and tens digits are both 0 in your answer, and the hundreds digit is the sum of the hundreds.
