Number line to 100
A number line shows numbers in order with equal steps. Second graders work out the step size (2, 5 or 10), fill in the missing marks and find the number halfway between two tens, like 45 between 40 and 50.
How to solve this
- On a number line to 100, each mark represents one number; tens are usually marked with longer lines.
- To find a number's position, locate the nearest ten first, then count forward or back by ones.
- Check by counting from 0 to your number along the line — you should land on the same spot.
