Grade 2 Math

Halving

Halving splits a number into two equal parts and is the opposite of doubling: half of 48 is 24 because 24 + 24 = 48. For a number like 70, halve 60 and 10 separately: 30 + 5 = 35.

How to solve this

  • Halving a number means splitting it into two equal parts: half of 16 is 8 because 8 + 8 = 16.
  • For even two-digit numbers, halve the tens and ones separately when possible: half of 68 = half of 60 + half of 8 = 30 + 4 = 34.
  • Check by doubling your answer — you must get back the original number.

Times Divide

Multiplication and division worksheets that follow what the child has already solved.

The app does not generate PDF sheets at random. It uses the child’s previous results, including offline sheets, so the next practice can focus on what still needs work.

  • Generate printable PDFs from the child’s history.
  • Enter solved offline sheets quickly after practice.
  • The app shows each answer; you mark it correct or not.
