Mass units
Practise g, kg, and t conversions, mixed-unit answers, and comparisons of mass.
How to solve this
- The key conversions are 1 kg = 1000 g and 1 t = 1000 kg.
- Convert to the smaller unit when comparing: 2 kg is 2000 g, so it is heavier than 1800 g.
- Mixed notation is useful for remainders: 2500 g is 2 kg 500 g.
Examples
1 kg = __ g
1000
3 t = __ kg
3000
2500 g
2 kg 500 g
