Written multiplication
Practise carrying in one-digit multiplication and keeping partial products aligned in two-digit multiplication.
How to solve this
- For 384 × 6, multiply each place by 6 and carry when needed; the result must be close to 400 × 6 = 2400.
- For 426 × 23, split 23 into 20 and 3, then add 426 × 20 and 426 × 3.
- A common mistake is forgetting the zero in the tens row; 426 × 20 is 8520, not 852.
