Number grid
Number grid helps children practise navigating a hundred chart: finding numbers above, below, left, and right of a given cell. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.
How to solve this
- In a number grid, moving right adds 1 and moving down adds 10; use this to fill in any missing cell.
- Start from a known cell and count the steps to reach the empty one — add or subtract accordingly.
- Check each filled cell against its neighbours: right neighbour should be 1 more, the cell below 10 more.
