9 times table
9 times table helps children practise mastering the 9-times table using the finger trick and the digit-sum shortcut — the sum of digits always equals 9. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.
How to solve this
- The ×9 table has a neat pattern: the digit sum of every result is 9 (e.g. 63: 6+3=9).
- Quick method: 9 × n = (10 × n) − n — multiply by 10 and subtract the number once.
- Also notice the tens and ones digits: as tens go 0→9, ones go 9→0.
