3 times table
3 times table helps children practise learning the 3-times table by grouping in threes and skip counting by 3. Read the short guide and look through the examples before choosing online practice or a printable worksheet.
How to solve this
- The ×3 table builds by adding 3 each time: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30.
- A useful check: the digit sum of any multiple of 3 is also divisible by 3 (e.g. 27: 2+7=9).
- Check with the ×2 helper: 3 × n = (2 × n) + n, so add the number to its double.
